The Future of WallpaperHubEU

It's been a long time since the last content update in July 2024. Since then, not much has changed. One of the main reasons for this delay is that the dedicated team behind WallpaperHubEU has had limited capacity to work on projects like this one. But don’t worry! WallpaperHubEU will continue, and regular updates are on the way.

In the meantime, we’re focusing on keeping our features like Businesses & Collections and Creations & Insights up to date with the latest content we have.

As previously announced on social media, we will be pausing our Roadmap for an indefinite period. The next content update will be announced ahead of time, including details of what you can expect.

Why did we first adjust the Roadmap and now decide to pause it altogether? The answer lies in the flexibility we need while some of our team members are limited in their capacity to work on the project. By taking this step, we can ensure long-term content updates without overcommitting. Initially, we tried streamlining the Roadmap to avoid delays, but unfortunately, this approach didn’t work as planned.

We’re eager to bring new wallpaper updates as soon as possible! After all, that’s what this project is all about—wallpapers, not just the extra features we offer.

However, with this news article, we’ve taken the opportunity to update all WP: Businesses pages to reflect the latest design and current standards. As for the new B&C (Businesses & Collections) and C&I (Creations & Insights), we will provide a detailed introduction in a future news article. 

If the RoadMap disappears, how can you stay informed about new updates aside from social media? Don’t worry—the RoadMap will still exist as a dedicated page on our website, and we plan to bring it back into use soon this year, or early 2025. 

Until then, updates will only be listed there before they are released. This means that the latest update will appear on the RoadMap page as soon as we make it public. 

This change primarily affects updates for Train Sim World and future updates for MS: Flight Simulator.

However, updates for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Grand Theft Auto 5 are not impacted. These titles will continue to be listed on the RoadMap as usual, and any upcoming updates will be displayed there once they are ready. So for these categories, nothing will change, and updates will proceed as expected.

Regarding our future updates, we want to clarify that no new features will be released for the time being. Instead, we will focus on expanding and improving our existing five key features. Our top priority remains creating new wallpapers for the current categories, while also preparing to introduce new categories in the coming months.

These updates will also emphasize the continued development of our website, aiming to make it more user-friendly, accessible, and aligned with the SNDE FocusFrame design.

All of this requires significant time, planning, and effort, which may cause delays, especially during this period. However, we are committed to working tirelessly to grow and improve. We want to stay present and up-to-date for our community.

The next major category, which we've not only teased but also generously introduced, is MS: Flight Simulator. This category is designed especially for aviation enthusiasts and represents the most challenging undertaking in terms of preparation and wallpaper creation. We’d like to offer you a glimpse into the process we'll be following once the wallpapers are officially released.

1. Phase: Airbus

At launch, the first wallpapers will feature Airbus aircraft, including the A380-800, A330-900neo, and A310-300. We may also release the entire Airbus fleet available to our team, such as the A321, A320, or A350. Further details will be provided when the wallpapers are officially released.

2. Phase: Boeing

In the second major update, we’ll introduce wallpapers for Boeing models, including the B777, B747, and others. More information will be shared when the wallpaper release is announced.

3. Phase: Embraer

The third major update will bring wallpapers for Embraer models, such as the E195 and E175 families.

4. Phase: ATR

The fourth update will focus on smaller aircraft from ATR, including the ATR 72-600 and 42-600.

5. Phase: Undefined

For the final planned major update, we’re keeping our options open. Potential additions include the implementation of Businesses & Collections (B&C), featuring airlines like Lufthansa Airlines (and Lufthansa Group airlines), Delta Air Lines, United, Emirates, AirSERBIA, and many others. Alternatively, we may add more aircraft wallpapers, including private jets, fighter jets, and other non-mainstream aircraft. 

Please note that this plan is subject to change! Adjustments may be necessary, and nothing is set in stone. Once the MS: Flight Simulator wallpapers are officially nearing release, we’ll share the finalized plans.

Our largest and most challenging category, Train Sim World, will continue to receive new wallpapers. The initial focus will be on reworks that can be implemented with our Choose Weather feature. Before actively working on Businesses & Collections (B&C) and Creations & Insights (C&I), we aim to rework everything that is currently feasible.

New Trains, New Designs, New Companies?

→ Yes, new trains are definitely on the way! Some may even be released intermittently during the rework process. However, our primary focus remains on completing the reworks.

→ New designs will come once the reworks are finished. At that point, we will begin updating, expanding, and introducing new collections for B&C.

→ No new companies are currently planned for WP: Businesses. We have other priorities for now, but expansions will come in the future. Just not yet.

Red Dead Redemption 2 stands as one of the most beautiful, if not the most stunning category of wallpapers we offer. Each wallpaper represents hours of work, patience, and dedication from our team. However, some of these wallpapers are now older and no longer meet our updated standards. That’s why we’ll be replacing some of the existing wallpapers with new ones that align with our current quality standards.

The WP: Choose Weather feature will also continue to receive updates, although this is a lengthy process that requires time. We remain committed to making steady progress toward our goals, step by step.

New Locations?

→ Currently, we’re not sure which new locations to add that aren’t already featured in our collection. We welcome your suggestions for places to include, provided we can create enough distinctive wallpapers for each location. Your input could help shape the next additions!

We’re always striving to expand our collection with more game categories. This involves extensive testing and the creation of numerous wallpapers to determine whether we can achieve the quality and style we envision.

C&I is our newest feature. The enhanced WP: Insights is designed to provide more detailed information about individual trains, offering better visibility with statistics and manufacturing details.

The new WP: Creations feature will soon allow you to showcase your own wallpapers in select WallpaperHub game categories. These new categories, dedicated solely to user-created wallpapers, will be introduced soon, giving you the opportunity to share your personal creations with the community.
